The life cycle of every product involves costs. Often, however, only a superficial consideration of the follow-up costs is made when a product is purchased. In the case of complex products, for example, it is difficult to assess and evaluate all the facets such as procurement, personnel, training, logistics, infrastructure, etc. Long service lives and changing framework conditions also increase the degree of complexity.
