The National Use of S2000M

Once the various parts of the armed forces, the army, air force, and navy had decided to generally use S2000M for future projects, there was a need to issue implementation rules covering all forces.

These implementation rules (DB S2000M) govern the cooperation between the authorities of the armed forces, the BWB (Federal Office for Military Technology and Procurement), the LogABw (German Armed Forces Logistics Office) and the industry during the national application of S2000M.

They contain definitions valid across all parts of the armed forces and projects in areas where the S2000M leaves room for discretion.

Together with S2000M the DB S2000M provides the following benefits:

• Uniform procedural guidelines for projects of all parts of the armed forces
• Uniform handling of national and international projects
• Basis for rationalization and standardization on part of authorities and industry.
