CONDOK at LOG.NET
For the second time CONDOK GmbH took the chance to present itself at the logistics symposium LOG.NET in St. Augustin. Besides attending very interesting presentations, we were able to welcome many guests at our newly designed CONDOK stand. One important topic proved to be training and training material. We presented numerous examples of our MMAH projects (multimedia training material), which enjoyed great popularity among the guests.

Documentation and Media Forum 2011
The annual Documentation and Media Forum attracts more and more interest within the industry. The next forum will take place on the 24th of February 2011. Competent and top-class speakers will talk about new trends concerning technical documentation. The seminars will be held at the location of our DokuNord partner ZINDEL AG. Successful Information Event
Our information event on product and occupational safety was successfully held at CONDOK on the 17th of June 2010.
We would like to thank the participants for the interesting and constructive dialog during the event and many inquiries after it. The positive feedback showed us that information on this topic is urgently required.
Our lecturers presented the most important aspects of the complex topic and the given legal situation.

Product Safety and Occupational Safety Information Event, 17th of June 2010
All manufacturers have to fulfill legal requirements regarding the safety of the products they produce and launch. Employers operating machinery are also responsible for occupational safety at the workplace. Regulations to be observed are e.g. the EU directives and national implementations such as the German Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG).
In Europe, hardly any product may be launched without the CE mark. Only this distinctive symbol shows that the product complies with the minimum standards. An incorrect Declaration of Conformity or a missing risk analysis can have serious consequences.
Not only manufacturers, but also employers who operate machinery are exposed to legal risks. More and more often, they are accused of not adhering to regulations for environmental protection or industrial safety. The most important regulations in Germany in this context are the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances.

CONDOK Establishes Subsidiary in Koblenz
We proudly announce the inauguration of our subsidiary in Koblenz in Rhineland-Palatinate on the 1st of January 2010 (Pastor-Klein-Str. 17E).
Our department Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) will be at our customers' disposal for related services. The Koblenz site will certainly be used as a venue for meetings, training and other CONDOK projects as well.

S1000DTM User Forum in Hilton Head Island (South Carolina) attracted Record Participation
This year's topic of the S1000DTM User Forum was “S1000DTM: Realizing the Benefits of Integrated Logistics Support: from Vision to Realization”. Technical documentation is a complex subject and close to many other specific fields: construction/design, product life cycle, supply management, training etc. CONDOK attended the event to stay informed about the latest developments concerning S1000DTM, S2000M, S3000L, S4000M, S5000F and the planned S6000T. Defining interfaces between the specifications to use synergies was declared a major task. The topic was obviously very popular as the number of participants was 360 – the highest ever in the history of the User Forum.

S1000DTM User Forum
The S1000DTM User Forum takes place in South Carolina, USA, from 12th to 15th of October. This year's topic: "S1000DTM: Realizing the Benefits of Integrated Logistics Support – From Vision to Realization". CONDOK will be joining this event to stay informed about the latest S1000DTM developments and its international application.

Second Recertification Audit by TÜV Nord
This year, a recertification audit by TÜV Nord was carried out again. Instead of continuing to meet the demands of the "old" DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, we decided to get recertified according to the current DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 standard.
At the end of July 2009 the auditors took once again a good look at our excellent quality system. All processes within the departments and all interdisciplinary activities were thoroughly checked. At the end of the two-day audit, recertification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 was in the bag.

Successful DokuNord Seminar
The large turnout showed DokuNord that the topic "S1000DTM and iSpec2200" was a good choice for this seminar.
The four companies Corena, HiCo, Inmedius and STAR AG presented to the audience of nearly 50 participants how specialized software can help technical writers to meet the requirements of the specifications and solve related problems.
Subsequently, a lively discussion took place.
DokuNord Seminar: S1000DTM and iSpec2200 Content Management Systems
The requirements for technical documentation of defence and aviation technology have profoundly changed within the last years. Instead of MS Word and Adobe FrameMaker terms like S1000DTM and iSpec2200 turned up – DTD, Schema, SGML, XML, Business Rules and Style Guides are part of everyday business and demand more and more specialized knowledge from project managers and technical writers. This is why it is so important to use capable software that ensures accordance with certain rules and that supports standard processes. Only by this means can the technical writer focus on the content of the documentation and is not too distracted by the formal requirements.
DokuNord invited four renowned software companies, which will present their software solutions. A predetermined topic list makes it easier to compare the software. The following companies will attend the seminar:

CONDOK is Number 1
The fourth Schleswig-Holstein Footrace took place in Kiel on Saturday, 16th of June 2008. Approx. 3500 runners from more than 200 teams took part in the 5000 m race this year.
Like in the previous years, CONDOK's team participated as well with the help of some guest runners. We aimed high. Our second place from last year's race was to be defended. Fortunately, the results were even better this year: We came in first in the category "teams with best times". In the category "best average time" our team won third place.
The CONDOK team is proud of our good results – thanks as well to our guest runners!
